The answers included specific examples of sport innovations (e.g. a newly introduced data analysis tool) as well as more broadly defined developments (the use of camera registration during training or ‘tire technology’). We analyzed the responses (n=169) and grouped the innovations in the following areas: • biomechanics; • medical; • mental; • method of training;1 • nutrition; • organizational;2 • performance measurement;3 • physiology; • sporting equipment;4 • sporting facilities;5 • strength/Conditioning;6 • tactical; • technical. 1 e.g. Attitude training, vision/eye training, planning, periodization. 2 e.g. Business models, coach education, communication (social media). 3 e.g. Registration (movement, positioning, weather, time, talent body functions, data modeling, statistics). 4 e.g. Clothing, materials, products, equipment. 5 e.g. Surface. 6 e.g. Fitness, strength, recovery. 3 RESULTS 22 Pagina 21
