Appendix II The following pages contain an example of the questionnaire used in this research. Respondents followed the ‘sport’ route or the ‘science’ route (determined in question 6). ‘Sport’ respondents were asked their sport of expertise (one or two) and answered questions about two innovations in each of the selected sport(s). ‘Science’ respondents were asked their area of expertise (one or two) and answered questions about innovations in each of the selected area(s). Each respondent described two to four innovations – depending on expertise sport(s)/area(s). The questions regarding these innovations are only shown once in this example.
