This goal-scoring rascal from Bloemendaal has already made 27 goals and is breathing down the neck of his compatriot. Behind these two Dutch front-runners there is a big gap. Guillermo Schickendantz follows with twenty scores and then come Richard Mantell and Tomasz Dutkiewicz, who have both made 18 goals. Interestingly, the best-scoring German player comes in at seventh place. This despite the fact that UHC Hamburg has had two fi nal victories and comes in at second place which makes it the most successful EHL participant in the history of the league. What is club love? Football is not the only sport that has club-hoppers. There are also hockey players who fi nd money, adventure (or both) more important than love for their club, if they even have any idea what that term actually means. For example, the German player Matthias Witthaus has already participated in the EHL with no fewer than four different clubs. That is certainly quite something considering that this tournament has only just begun its fi fth year of operation. Witthaus stands out as a glaring exception but in theory it is possible that he could be easily surpassed by Niall Stott, Jose Borrell and David Alegre, each of whom ent clubs in the EHL.
