aanstaande is, om te komen tot meer gestructureerde aandacht voor MSU in de 4,5 jaar durende specialisatie tot sportarts. Ook het inrichten van een fellowship MSU voor de sportarts zou op termijn een mogelijkheid bieden om te komen tot het instellen van een super specialisatie binnen de sportgeneeskunde. In ieder geval lijkt het verdedigbaar dat MSU een onlosmakelijke verbinding krijgt met de sportgeneeskunde en met de sportarts als specialist, zoals dit inmiddels al jaren ook het geval is voor de gynaecologen en cardiologen.
