We prepared two questionnaires, each tailored to receive relevant responses from two types of experts we identified in our overall panel: • international specialists from the world of sport with sport specific knowledge about innovations. This included top level coaches or technical directors in the ten selected sports; • international multi-sport experts from the world of science who have innovation specific knowledge and apply this across sport. This would include (embedded) sport scientists, researchers and engineers with experience in the area of sport innovation. We collected information regarding: • background of the expert; • what were considered the most important sport innovations; • detailed background information on most important sport innovations; • expected future developments.
